Richmond Park Golf Course helping new employees gain recognised qualifications
This year Glendale Golf will be helping several new employees gain recognised qualifications whilst training on the job. We have recently welcomed a number of new staff on board, as we prepare for the golf season.
Michael Browne (pictured) joins Ross Cook and the greenkeeping team as Apprentice Greenkeeper, alongside David Thackwray, who is now in his second year of his apprenticeship. Michael is settling in well and looking forward to gaining valuable experience through working at one of the most visited golf venues in the UK.
Ross explains: “Michael is getting on very well and has recently had his first experience cutting greens which he took to very well and loved the experience. Not only does the company’s apprenticeship programme provide us with valuable additional resource, but the employee really benefits from gaining an NVQ qualification, which will help them develop their career.”
Michael is one of four apprentices we have recently recruited. Joining Michael is Karen Wilson and Holly Hall who have both started an NVQ Catering Apprenticeship and Mia Coates, who is benefitting from an NVQ Hospitality Apprenticeship whilst working within our Golf Services team.
