Welcome to the March edition of Loyaltee News – your monthly report from behind the scenes at Richmond Park Golf Course

Dear Golfer,

We’re now only weeks away from the start of the golf season and our team are busy with preparations. I’m really proud of what we’ve achieved in recent years and looking forward to our courses and facilities being even better in 2018.

We always encourage customer feedback as it helps us to make your experience even better, and which areas we can improve. In September 2017 we asked every one of our customers to complete a survey and the results are now available. We’re delighted that the overwhelming majority of you are pleased with your experience, with 98% saying they would recommend us to a friend. Check out the full results here.

Ross and his greenkeeping team are putting the finishing touches to a bunker and pathway renovation project. The arrival of our latest item of machinery – a JBC excavator – means we can now carry out more important work like this. Click here to read the latest Greenkeeper’s Blog.

Several new staff members have been welcomed on board this month, including four apprentices. We also congratulate Will Gosling on a recent promotion, who has quickly come through the ranks and has proved to be a great asset to our Golf Services team. Read moreabout how Glendale Golf are helping employees gain recognised qualifications through apprenticeships.

We love this time of the year, as the courses go through the transformation from winter to summer. Whilst Spring is taking some time to boot up, we can look forward to the clocks going forward on 25th March, signalling longer days and the arrival of the first Major of the season. Whilst the clocks will be going forward, Tiger Woods seems to be turning his back, with an impressive second place at the Valspar Championship. Will Tiger Version 4 win a major this year? We can’t wait to find out!

This year we want more people to try our wonderful sport for the first time. On 11th April we’ll be running our first Get Into Golf programme of 2018. For just £50, newcomers will enjoy five 1-hour group lessons with PGA Coach Stuart Hill. Click here to find out more. Please pass the message onto anyone thinking of taking up golf.

Thank you all so much for continuing to enjoy playing golf here in the wonderful surroundings of Richmond Park Golf Course. We hope you’re looking forward to teeing off the start of the golf season as much as we are!

See you on the fairways soon.

Jon Dummett
General Manager
