Duxbury Park June Newsletter
Welcome to the June edition of the Duxbury Park Newsletter.
The weather has been amazing and we have had huge numbers of happy golfers visiting the course this month. Many of you have remarked on how beautiful the course is looking, and we have also become a popular venue for families to come and sit in the gardens enjoying the sunshine with a nice drink and bite to eat.
It was great to see local lad Tommy Fleetwood playing his awesome final round in the US Open which saw him narrowly miss out on a play off by a shot. The course setup caused controversy as did Phil Mickelson chasing after his ball and hitting it whilst it was moving!
It has been extremely busy both on the course and in Nineteen so we would just like to say a big thank-you for your support, and long may this great weather continue.
Introducing our fantastic new Summer Sizzlers special offers, there is something for everyone this summer at Duxbury Park Golf Course! Click here to find out more
The Nineteen Bar & Kitchen is Glendale Golf’s in-house catering brand. It has evolved into a popular destination not just for hungry golfers, but for anyone who wants to escape the grime of city life and enjoy delicious food in the beautiful green setting of a golf venue. Everyone is welcome to pop in and enjoy a freshly brewed coffee, or a meal from our new menu, while relaxing in our clubhouse.
The new Nineteen Bar & Kitchen menu launched on 16th April and offers a tempting range of Breakfasts, Sandwiches & Baguettes and Snacks. In addition, the popular Gourmet Burger menu has been updated to include a new signature dish – The Blackened Salsa Burger. This beast of a burger is made from 200g of course minced steak, topped with Monterey Jack cheese, tortilla chips & salsa, all served in a distinctive black charcoal brioche bun.
Further newcomers to the menu include three American themed hot dogs – the Street Dog, Chilli Dog and The New Yorker.
Be sure to check out the new menu on your next visit
Functions & Private Parties
Nineteen is the venue to host your function or special party. The sun is shining and our outside patio area is a sun trap. Parents enjoy the relaxing time spent chatting and drinking whilst watching the children play in the sandpit or with the garden games. Evening functions also drift outside to the patio area. Listening to the laughter and chatter of our guests catching up with old friends and reminiscing whilst enjoying a cheeky G&T. What more could one ask for!
Still thinking about your special birthday party, stop thinking and simply phone Lesley on 01257 265380 or email email@example.com to find out more information. You won’t regret it. Let your party be the one people are talking about for years to come!
Lots of exciting events are coming up at Duxbury this summer! We are on a high after the success of our Wedding in the Woods earlier this month and our annual Summer Fun day in aid of Derian House Charity. It was great to see the site so busy with golfers and families alike. Thank-you for your patience with the parking arrangements. We will let you know how much was raised in our July newsletter for this great charity.
In addition to this, your summer plans wouldn’t be complete without a trip to Duxbury Parks Outdoor Cinema! Playing all your favourites from Anchorman, to The Blair Witch Project, to Toy Story and the Greatest Showman! A full listing of showings can be found below, and tickets purchased HERE

GOLFSIXES – NEW TRENDS, NEW FRIENDS
A perfect start to the Golfsixes League in Lancashire today! Volunteers and staff at Duxbury Park Golf Course welcomed young teams and their families from Haigh Hall Golf Club, Hart Common Golf Club and Regent Park GC. Golfsixes is the new inter-club team league for juniors, like the European Tour GolfSixes on TV; teams play in their club kits in a six hole Texas Scramble which is perfect for all abilities and for making new friends on the course.
The Duxbury Park team put on free food and drinks for all the kids and supporting parents; more than 50 family members enjoying the facilities. The children played football together while the scores were all being totted up.
“The great thing was we also received lots of positive comments from those parents who were very much new to golf,” said The Golf Foundation`s Andy Leigh
(this is a joint Foundation/England Golf project backed by @SportEngland and the European Tour and features 125 golf clubs in England, Scotland and Wales).
See you on the fairways soon.
