2018 Customer Survey Update
Last October, we conducted our annual customer survey. As a result and in response to your feedback, we have been working hard over the winter months to make sure we improve our product and customer experience for all of our valued members and customers in 2019. With the new golf season fast approaching we are delighted to be able to update you with some new initiatives and improvements at Duxbury Park!
Our promise to you at Duxbury Park Golf Course:
The greens are well on the way to recovering from the unprecedented dry conditions we experienced throughout last year’s summer months.In the hope that we get another great summer are investing into an updated irrigation system giving improved reliability and performance. This will also allow us to irrigate the greens after fertilising throughout the year. We are confident this investment will provide a much improved and consistent putting surface all year round.
Winter maintenance has going well and improvements are already evident which augurs well for the coming season.
We were mightily impressed with the Toro 360 rough mower which was tested by the greenstaff recently. We were so impressed one has been ordered ready for the start of the golf season. The machine is much more versatile and will provide a more consistent cut allowing the team to create better definition and shaping.
We are investing in more man power this year to maintain and develop golf course presentation and customer experience. We are recruiting two additional members of the greenkeeping team staff who will be in position ready for launch of the golf season. This will provide an extra 60 hours per week dedicated purely to course maintenance.
As you know, we have a lot of golfers playing Duxbury Park. The paths have experienced a lot of traffic and bad weather in recent years and were in need of some refurbishment. This winter we embarked on a path improvement project and the results have been very satisfying. Holes 4, 5, 7, 9 and 11 have been improved along with refurbishments to existing paths.
We hope you can see from the above that we really want you to have the best possible experience when you visit and your feedback has been invaluable.
