Duxbury Park June Newsletter
Welcome to the June edition of the Duxbury Park Newsletter!
There have been quite a few changes since the start of the golf season. First of all we welcomed Matt Skates as our new General Manager. Matt has a wealth of experience in the leisure industry and joins the business at a really exciting time. We have already seen several improvements at Duxbury Park this season and look forward to further developments in the future.
The golf course is in really good condition now and the greens are improving weekly. This is largely down to the hard work of the green staff and the implementation of cultural practises. These include coring greens, scarifying, aerating and carrying out a fertilisation programme. The investment in an up to date, reliable irrigation system has allowed accurate watering when it was needed earlier in the year! There have been other investments also, which shows a real commitment by Glendale to the long term future of Duxbury Park….
- New Holland Boomer 50 tractor
- Automated Irrigation system & Pump
- Trimax Snake Rough Mower
As well as new course machinery we have expanded our buggy fleet to 11, and replaced the old trolleys with some shiny new ones! The current buggy deals are going really well, call the shop on 01257 265380 to book.
- 2 Green Fees and a Buggy £30 after 4 pm, available all week
- Happy Hour – claim a FREE buggy between 11 am and 12 noon Monday to Friday with every 2 green fees purchased.
We also now have the halfway house next to the 10th tee were you can stop for refreshments! Pay it a visit next time you play and take part in our free prize draw to win some golf balls!
