Glendale Golf Centres reopening Friday 15/05/20

We can now confirm that all Glendale Golf Centres will reopen on Friday 15/05/20 (Edwalton Golf Centre is opening Monday 18th May) and tee times will be available to book online from 12/05/20.

We ask all customers to help us to keep our golf courses safe and open for business, by adhering to the safety measures that we have put in place for everybody:

  • All customers are expected to adhere to our safety guidelines whilst at our Centres. Anyone found not to be adhering to these guidelines will be asked to leave.
  • All tee bookings must be made online and in advance. Anyone arriving at the Centre without booking in advance will not be permitted onto the golf course.
  • Strictly a maximum of two golfers per tee time only.
  • Juniors will be permitted to play for free with a full paying adult. 2 golfers per tee time policy still applies. Please see additional notes below about junior golf bookings.

Please see notes below for our latest updates. If you have an urgent enquiry please contact us.

Frequently asked questions

Like us, we’re sure you’ll be eagerly awaiting news of when you can return to play golf. As always your safety is our priority, so when we do reopen please expect to see some changes to our normal business.

Similar to many other leisure businesses, we’ve had to make a tough decision to furlough many of our colleagues, including greenkeepers. We have continued essential maintenance throughout the lockdown, however please make an allowance for this when we reopen, as it will take a couple of weeks to bring the courses back to their normal high standard of presentation.

We’ve put together responses to some of the questions we’ve been frequently asked:

Glendale Golf Centres will be reopening from Friday 15/05/20 (Edwalton Golf Centre is opening Monday 18/05/20).

Please make an allowance for some changes to ensure your safety, including advance online tee time bookings only and temporary closure of clubhouse toilets & changing rooms.

We have completed a risk assessment and in line with government guidelines will be implemented the following safety measures:

  • Protective barrier screens to protect our staff where appropriate.
  • Intensive ongoing sanitising programme on high contact surfaces.
  • Marked routes around the premises to encourage social distancing.

Visitors will be able to play as soon as we reopen on 15/05/20. Tee times will be made available online from 12/05/20. Please click on ‘Select Venue’ on the top menu and follow the links to book online.

All customers will be required to book a tee time in advance to reduce the need for clubhouse entry and close contact with others. You will not be able to play golf without prebooking a tee time online. Please click on ‘Select Venue’ on the top menu and follow the links to book online.

Anyone can book online, including existing members. If you’ve yet to register for online bookings then please complete the form opposite and we’ll get you set up in no time.

We suspended all memberships from 23rd March and will automatically resume your membership term from the date we reopen, so you’ll be able to return and play golf without having to do anything further.

Monthly Direct Debits will be reset and if you were due to renew your membership whilst we’ve been closed, we’ll be in touch to confirm arrangements

We understand that some golfers may be in a vulnerable category, or may not be comfortable venturing out just yet, so we will be pleased to extend your membership suspension. We will be contacting all members directly when we know the exact date of reopening.

Please visit the ‘Membership’ page for your local Glendale Golf Centre for more information on becoming a member.

Driving ranges will reopen at the same times as the courses at all Centres. Strict distancing guidelines will be in place, for example only one person per bay and range buckets will be cleaned and sanitised after use. You will be able to pay for your range balls by card at the dispenser.

We are still reviewing the situation regarding buggies & trolleys so they may not be available when we reopen – please check with your local golf centre. When they are available for rental, buggies are strictly for one person use. Buggies can be only be booked online when you reserve a tee time. Buggies & trolleys will be carefully cleaned and sanitised after each use.

Regretfully, hire clubs will not be available when we reopen so please ensure you bring your own equipment.

Golf lessons will continue, but restricted to one person per session. Golf coaching personnel will be carrying out lessons in accordance with strict distancing guidelines, so please make an allowance for this. Group lessons will temporarily not be available.

Junior golfers play for free with any Loyaltee member. Please book your tee time online and add the free junior golfer. Please note that junior golfers must be under 16 years of age and ID must be presented on arrival.
