The days are getting longer. The Masters is around the corner. That can only mean one thing… a fresh new golf season is bursting onto the scene, promising sunshine, laughter, and maybe, just maybe, a few less lost balls.

The excitement is building here at Portsmouth Golf Course. We’re thrilled to provide you with an exclusive, insider’s look at our preparations for a truly exceptional summer of golf.

Make 2025 Your Best Golfing Year Ever!

There’s so much to look forward to as we head into a new golf season, but it’s also a good time to give yourself a check-in.

Honestly, who isn’t feeling totally swamped these days? Work, online life, it’s relentless. But what if I told you there’s a way to reclaim some peace? Turns out, golf could be your secret weapon for a healthier, happier you.

Golf Course Update

The golf course is now fully open and playing beautifully, with buggies readily available. We’re seeing fantastic growth and definition thanks to our dedicated cutting routines. Recent greens maintenance, including aeration and topdressing, has been highly successful.

Our 2025 agronomy program is underway, marked by the first granular fertilizer application in mid-March. We’ve also invested in a new greens mower and turf iron, which are delivering excellent results.

Our winter course improvements are complete, further enhancing play for the 2025 season. Plus, we’re expanding our buggy fleet with additional units arriving soon!

Upcoming Events & Offers

Get ready to tee off! With the golf season rapidly approaching, April is bursting with golfing offers.

Anticipation is already building for the Masters, where we’ll unveil a spectacular weekend of deals celebrating the year’s first major.

Immediately following, enjoy our Bank Holiday Weekender promotion during the first long weekend of 2025. April is shaping up to be a phenomenal month for golfers!

Portsmouth Golf Club Junior section has gathered momentum as we approach the golfing season. We’ve had a huge influx of juniors joining which is great to see.
Thursday Night Golf returns on April 10th. Meet in the bar from 5pm for a fun 9 holes. This will run over the summer every Thursday through to September.

Clubhouse & Hospitality

Enhancements are underway in the bar and restaurant, where the booth seating has been professionally reupholstered. These will be paired with new tables and chairs, creating an updated ambiance. We are also pleased to announce the installation of new draught beer selections, which have been met with enthusiastic customer response. Furthermore, the clubhouse interior, inclusive of the toilet facilities, will be revitalized with a fresh application of paint.

The clubhouse menu is also getting a makeover. Get ready for some delicious new additions:

Ziggy Crinkle Cut Fries: A taste-test winner!
American-Style Pancakes with Streaky Bacon: A delightfully light breakfast option.
Smashed Avacado & Poached Eggs on Bloomer: A healthy, but satisfying breakfast.
Brunch Burger: The perfect ‘inbetween’ snack to keep your hunger at bay.
Mac n’ Cheese Bites: Ideal with an ice-cold post-round beer.

This Spring also sees the launch of our new range of Golf Day packages. Designed for groups of 12 of more golfers, you can choose from our popular ready-made packages or mix & match to create your own. Click here to find out more.
