Is membership right for you in 2025?
As we swing into the summer of 2025, golfers everywhere are wondering: what’s the smartest way to enjoy my golf this year?
At Duxbury Park Golf Course, we understand that every golfer’s needs are unique, which is why we offer a range of membership options beyond the traditional annual contract. So, is a classic yearly membership still the best value, or could the rising popularity of more flexible options be your perfect match?
Let’s tee up a comparison to help you decide.

Golf Course Update
Course Conditions: From Excellent to Exceptional
The dry conditions we experienced at the start of the season have thankfully given way to a series of welcome showers. These recent downpours have been incredibly beneficial, allowing the course to recover beautifully and maintain its excellent condition.
Enhancing Water Management
To further optimise our ability to manage water usage and ensure the course remains in peak condition, we’re currently in the process of upgrading five of our irrigation valves. This significant improvement will provide us with much greater control over water distribution, allowing for more precise and efficient irrigation across the entire course. This targeted approach helps us conserve water while ensuring every area of the course receives the hydration it needs.
Greens: Precision Maintenance for Optimal Play
Our greens have recently undergone some light but highly effective maintenance. This included a verti-cut at a depth of 2mm below the surface, a precise technique that helps to control unwanted seed heads and remove excess organic matter. Following this, we applied a light sand dressing of 8 tonnes. These combined efforts are crucial for promoting a smoother ball roll and maintaining the overall health and playability of our greens.
Tees: Fostering Vigorous Growth and Vibrancy
To encourage robust growth and enhance the visual appeal of our tees, we’ve applied a granular fertiliser. This targeted application will provide essential nutrients, promoting stronger turf development and a vibrant, healthy colour.
We’re committed to continually improving our course for your enjoyment. We hope you’ve noticed the positive changes and look forward to your next round!
