Bookings of up to four golfers per tee time (three at Richmond Park Golf Course) will be permitted from 1 June

COVID-19 Update 16/10/20:

The Prime Minister has recently set out a new way to simplify local COVID restrictions with a 3-tier system.

You’ll still be able to book tee times and enjoy a round of golf as before, but please remember to adhere to the following new regulations when you visit our Glendale Golf Centres. Guidelines are subject to change so we advise you to contact your local Glendale Golf Centre for the latest updates.

Tier One areas (COVID Medium Alert Level)

  • Currently applies to Tilgate Forest Golf Centre and Portsmouth Golf Course.
  • Clubhouses will be open as normal and operate table service only for food and/or drinks, within our indoors & outdoor seated areas. Please do not go to the bar/counter – a team member will come to your table to take your order.
  • You can continue to order takeout drinks (non-alcoholic) and snacks from the clubhouse as before.
Tier Two areas (COVID High Alert Level)
  • Currently applies to Richmond Park Golf Course, Castle Point Golf Course and Edwalton Golf Centre.
  • Indoor seated areas will be closed. We will be operating table service only for food and/or drinks within outdoor seated areas, at Centres where this is possible.
  • You can continue to order takeout drinks (non-alcoholic) and snacks from the clubhouse as before.
Tier Three areas (COVID Very High Alert Level)
  • Currently applies to Duxbury Park Golf Course.
  • Clubhouses will be open for customer toilets use, takeout drinks (non-alcoholic), snacks and retail items. Indoor & outdoor seated areas will be closed.

All other COVID safety measures remain in place at all Glendale Golf Centres:

  • It is now a legal requirement to wear a face covering in our venues, except when seated at a table to eat or drink.
  • Customers must provide contact details when using our clubhouse facilities, so we can support NHS Test and Trace. The official NHS QR code will be on display at our reception areas.
  • Gatherings are restricted to no more than 6 people.

We’re doing our bit to keep you safe

All Glendale Golf Centres have now reopened. Golf has always been an enjoyable leisure pursuit for many. In this post-lockdown world, the physical and mental heath benefits offered by sporting activities have never been more valuable. Golf is incredibly well placed for those looking for a safe way to exercise, escape the house and spend time in nature.

However, we must tip toe back towards normality. Golf will become a great tonic for many, but we must ask all customers to help us to keep our golf venues safe and open for business, by adhering to the safety measures that we have put in place for everybody.

  • Marked routes around the premises to encourage social distancing.

Changes to how you book

Will there be changes to how I book my tee time?

All tee times must now be booked in advance

All customers will be required to book a tee time in advance to reduce the need for clubhouse entry and close contact with others. You will not be able to play golf without prebooking a tee time online.

Click here to book your tee time at one of our six Glendale Golf centres. Anyone can book online, including existing members.

Our venues will be operating a maximum of three or four players per tee time, depending on location.

Will the driving ranges be open?

3 reasons to play golf (or take it up!)

Will the driving ranges be open?

Practice your golf, knowing we’re prioritising your safety

Driving ranges will reopen at the same times as the courses at all Centres. Strict distancing guidelines will be in place, for example only one person per bay and range buckets will be cleaned and sanitised after use.

You will be able to pay for your range balls by card at the dispenser. There is no need to reserve a bay, but we can get busy during peak times.

Rental equipment

Can I still rent trolleys, buggies & clubs?

We’ve made some changes to keep you safe

Trolley and buggy rental is available, depending on venue – please check with your local Glendale Golf centre. Where they are available for rental, buggies are strictly for one person use. Buggies & trolleys will be carefully cleaned and sanitised after each use.

Regretfully, hire clubs will not be available when we reopen so please ensure you bring your own equipment.

Golf lessons

Can I book a golf lesson?

Newcomers especially welcome!

There’s never been a better time to take up golf. It’s one of the few sporting activities that’s entirely social distancing friendly. Selected Glendale Golf Centres will be offering an amended range of lessons carried out in accordance with official safety guidelines, so please make an allowance for this. Please make sure you bring your own clubs as we’re currently unable to loan equipment.
