Golfer holes putt and wins the prrrrfect prize of a big cat at Richmond Park

They say you drive for show and putt for dough, and this maxim rang true for one golfer at Richmond Park Golf Course. When Steve Tavernier took part in a charity Putting Challenge, he slotted home a 50ft putt to bag the top prize of a weekend away with Jaguar's award-winning F-PACE, supplied courtesy of Guy Salmon Thames Ditton. Not only did Steve get to enjoy this stylish motor, but also received a £200 voucher to spend towards a luxury Etiqus watch.

The Putting Challenge was part of an event organised by the Richmond Park golf team to raise funds and awareness for the Golf Foundation. Set up in 1952, the Golf Foundation is a registered charity dedicated to providing an opportunity for young people to enjoy to benefits of golf, regardless of background or ability.

Jon Dummett, General Manager for Richmond Park Golf Course explained: "We had many fun and exciting attractions at this year's fundraising event, including the Caddyshack BBQ & Beer Tent, Beginner Golf Lessons and the Putting Challenge. All proceeds from the event were donated to the Golf Foundation, which came to £550. We really appreciate the generosity of Guy Salmon Thames Ditton and Etiqus Watches for providing such amazing prizes."

Richmond Park Golf Course is London's only 36-hole pay & play golf facility and is committed to providing a quality, affordable and accessible golfing destination for everyone. Click here to find out more about the venue.
