Local Rules

Out of Bounds (Rule 18.2)
  • All land beyond the boundaries of the course as defined by the surrounding fences and by the footpath left of the 18th.
  • The car park, roads and paths surrounding the clubhouse / practice green.
  • All land right of the ditch at the 9th hole as defined by the line of the white posts.
  • The enclosed area to the rear of the 1st green.
  • The area marked by the posts to the south of the clubhouse.
Abnormal Course Conditions (including Immovanle Obstructions) (Rule 16)
  • All benches, hydrants, water pipes, sprinkler heads, inspection covers, shelters, the gas valves left of the 12th hole and fence to the left of the 3rd green. Stiles and braces on the 7th fence. Penalty area posts, marker posts and distance marker posts. Rule 16.1b applies.
Ground Under Repair (GUR)
  • All made-up paths and bridges, tractor ruts, temporary greens (when out of play) and winter mats when not in play. Rule 16.1a applies.
  • The trees short of the green behind the left bunker on the 9th hole is marked G.U.R on wood chippings.
Staked Trees
  • Staked or white tagged trees are no play zones: If a player’s ball lies anywhere on the course other than in a penalty area and it lies on or touches such a tree or such a tree interferes with the player’s stance or area of intended swing, the player must take relief under Rule 16.1f, one club-length nearest point of relief.
Penalty Area (Rule 17)
  • Yellow penalty areas marked with (yellow lines or yellow stake posts) (Rules 17.1d(1) and (2)
  • Red penalty areas marked with (red lines or red stake posts) (Rule 17.1d (3))
Rules of Play
  • PLAY can only commence at the 1st, unless permission is given by the course officials.
  • SLOW PLAY (Rule 5.6b) players must keep up with the match ahead, or call the match following through.
  • All players must be in possession of a valid membership or green fee receipt.
  • DRESS shirts and golf shoes must always be worn.

  • Golfers play this course at their own risk. Glendale Golf takes no responsibility for any accident or injury caused to any person playing this golf course. Please ensure you have the appropriate insurance cover. Please be considerate to other golfers:
    • Please ensure you shout ‘FORE’ if you believe your ball might hit another golfer.
    • Please do not take your shot until the golfers in front are well out of your range.
    • Please read and follow the local rules printed on the scorecard before commencing play.
