What's the difference between the two courses?
While the high standard of quality and green fee is the same, there are many subtle differences between our two 18-hole courses. In summary, the Prince’s Course is the shorter of the two, with gently undulating fairways and wonderful elevated views across Richmond Park from the final holes.
The longer Duke’s Course is a more challenging test of golf, features many water hazards and is often preferred by experienced players. However, it really is down to personal choice as the quality of and presentation is the same on both courses.
Do I have to play golf to a certain standard?
No, we welcome everyone regardless of their playing experience or ability. Just bear in mind that we can get very busy on weekends, so newcomers to golf might feel more comfortable playing at other times.
What's the dress code?
There is no dress code – simply wear outdoor clothing that feels comfortable. We do recommend golf shoes or sturdy walking shoes, so that you have good grip in all weather conditions.
How do I book a round?
For the best price, we recommend that you book online as you’ll get at least 10% off our normal prices (book a tee time for four players and each player gets a whopping 30% off!). You can also call us on 0208 876 3205 and pay standard green fees. Please check in at the clubhouse reception at least 20 minutes before your tee time.
Is the driving range open to everyone?
Yes! Whether you’re a newcomer or the next golfing superstar, everyone is welcome to come along and use our range. We have plenty of clubs available to borrow for free and there’s no need to book. Simply pop along and buy a token from reception. For even better value we offer Digicards. Click here to find out more.
Can I bring my dog?
Well-behaved pooches are welcome in our clubhouse and on the golf course. Dogs must be accompanied by their owner and on a lead at all times, while on the golf course.
What are your opening hours?
Our opening hours vary during the year depending on daylight and weather conditions. During the summer months (April-September) we open at 07:00 midweek and 06:00 on weekends, and close at dusk. In the winter (October-March) we open at 07:30 midweek and 07:00 weekends, and close at dusk.
Do the courses get busy?
Like most popular courses, we can get busy especially during peak times such as weekend mornings. Please make an allowance for the extra time it might take to play a round during busier times. Check out our Get Ready Golf tips designed to help golfers keep a reasonable pace of play.
Do I need my own set of clubs?
We kindly ask that each golfer uses a set of clubs – we don’t allow sharing as this can significantly slow down play. We hire quality MacGregor clubs for just £20 per set including pull trolley.
Do I have to be a member to play?
Visitors are more than welcome. Simply pay a green fee and enjoy a day’s golf! If you’re thinking of joining then check out our Loyaltee 1 Month membership – golf’s most flexible membership ever.
Can I get to you by public transport?
Our location is one of the best things about our venue. We’re only eight miles from central London and really easy to get to. The nearest tube/train stations are in Putney and both have a direct bus service that arrives right outside our venue (see our Contact page for more details). We even offer hire clubs so you don’t have to carry them with you.
What happens if I want to cancel or change my tee time?
If you are unable to make your tee time please call 0208 876 3205 and we will be happy to reschedule your tee time to an alternative day/time within the same price band. Your new tee time must be within 2 months of your original booking. You must inform us of your intention to reschedule in advance your original tee time – we are unable to reschedule tee times if you inform us after your booking has passed. Please do not email as we may not see it before you are due to arrive.
We are unable to offer refunds once you have booked/paid for your tee time, so please make sure you and your playing partners are able to make the tee time. See our terms and conditions page for more information.
