We want your first visit to be memorable for all the right reasons, so we've put together a handy guide. It will help you get most out of what will hopefully be your first of many trips to London's local golf venue. While you may not (yet) be breaking 80, remember to have a great time playing golf and meeting new friends in our lovely green space ... as the great golf punk Lee Trevino once said: 'Keep yourself nice'.
New to golf?
We want as many people as possible to enjoy our wonderful sport. That’s why we offer a friendly welcome to everyone, whether you’re a complete novice or a seasoned expert. We’re London’s only 36-hole pay & play golf venue – our facilities include two 18-hole courses (the Prince’s and Duke’s), driving range, golf academy, family course and Nineteen Bar & Kitchen.
If you’re new to golf then we recommend you start with a lesson from one of our expert golf coaches. Our Get Into Golf beginner programme is very popular and a great way to meet new friends. Once you’ve learned the basics, you’ll be ready to take your skills to the golf course. We also have a shorter family course, which is perfect for newcomers and families. Our driving range is a great place to practice or warm up before your round.
If you’re already an experienced golfer you can choose to play either the Prince’s or Duke’s courses. They are both the same quality/price so it’s down to personal preference. Click here to find out more.
How to book a tee time
For golfers looking to play the Prince’s or Duke’s courses (our two 18-hole courses), we advise to book in advance as we can get busy. Book online and you’ll get the lowest price – guaranteed! Get at least 5% off our standard prices when you book a tee time online, and an even bigger discount when you book for three or four players (get a massive 20% off when you book a tee time for four golfers!). You can also reserve a golf buggy and hire clubs online.
Click here to book online or call 0208 876 3205 and pay standard prices when you arrive. We don’t currently offer online bookings for concession green fees. All bookings are subject to our standard terms & conditions.
After you’ve booked your tee time we will send you an email to confirm your booking details. Please arrive at the clubhouse reception at least 30 minutes before your tee time, so you have enough time to check in, get changed and collect any extras such as rental clubs or golf buggies. Our changing facilities have showers and lockers (£1 coin deposit).
The Nineteen Bar & Kitchen is open every day from 07:30, so why not enjoy a hearty breakfast before your round?
We like to think we’re doing our bit to shape the future of golf – we want to make it as accessible and relaxing as possible, so more people can enjoy our wonderful sport. Unlike most golf clubs, we don’t insist on a formal dress code. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in! We do advise you to wear golf shoes, as they offer the best grip in all weathers – however trainers or comfy walking shoes are fine. Don’t forget to pack a waterproof jacket too!
We do ask that every golfer has a set of clubs – we don’t permit sharing as this can significantly slow the pace of play for everyone. We offer quality of sets of rental clubs that come with a cart bag and pull trolley. You can add rental clubs to your online booking or when you book over the phone.
Don’t forget to stock up on golf balls before your round – they can be purchased at reception when you arrive. You’ll also need a pitch mark tool (available for free at reception) and a ball marker (a coin is perfect). We also stock golf gloves for left & right handed players.
On the tee
Once you’ve checked in and are ready to play, make your way to the first tees. The tees for both the Prince’s and Duke’s courses are in the same place and are well signposted. We suggest you get there 10 minutes before your time – during peak times there will be a Course Marshal who will ask for your tee time receipt and guide you to the first tee.
During your round
The safety and welfare of our customers and staff is our highest priority, so please make sure you read the important safety notices on the first tee. Our courses are really popular and we can get busy during peak times (e.g. weekends), so we do ask all players to maintain a reasonable pace of play. Please make an allowance for the extra time it may take during peak times. Click here to read our ‘Get Ready Golf’ tips so you get the most from your round.
A little bit of gardening goes a long way! We’re so lucky to have such a beautiful green space in the middle of London and we know you’ll love it too. Please remember to repair any divots/pitch marks and rake bunkers – it only takes a few seconds and helps keep the courses in great condition. Free pitch repair tools are available at the clubhouse reception.
After your round
There’s nothing better than a post-round debrief, over a refreshing drink and a bite to eat. Our Nineteen Bar & Kitchen Menu offers a variety of delicious meals and everyone is welcome, so it’s a great place to meet family/friends. If the weather’s good, then enjoy alfresco dining on our lakeside veranda, overlooking the 18th greens on both courses. Please return any rental clubs, trolleys or buggy keys to reception.
We hope you’ll have a great time and will already be planning your next visit. Why not check out our range of membership options?
