Course Fully Open & Busy – Book Your Tee Time Early!

Great news, the course is fully open and we’re seeing fantastic numbers out on the greens! We’re currently experiencing a very busy period, utilising a high percentage of our available tee times. This is brilliant to see, but it also means that to avoid disappointment, it’s absolutely imperative to ensure you book your tee time early. Bunker Refresh Coming Soon

Our bunkers are about to get a well-deserved makeover! The team has been hard at work weeding and strimming them to perfection. In the next week or so, they’ll be receiving a fresh supply of new sand, which will perfectly finish them off. This refresh will not only improve playability but also enhance the overall aesthetics of the course. Get ready for some pristine bunkers!

Drainage Improvements Nearing Completion!

The installation of our new ditches and bridges, designed to significantly assist with drainage across the course, is still ongoing. This vital work is crucial for improving water management, especially given the varying weather conditions we’ve experienced. We’re pushing hard to get this project finished and are hoping this work will be completed by the end of the month. We appreciate your patience as we make these long-term improvements to ensure a better playing experience for everyone.

Competition Season in Full Swing: Club Championships Deliver Thrills!

Our competition season is truly well under way here at Chorley, and what a weekend it’s been! We just wrapped up our highly anticipated 36-hole Club Championships this past weekend, and it was nothing short of a terrific competition. The course saw some incredible play, with every competitor battling fiercely for the coveted titles.

A Battle Against the Elements and Each Other!

Adding to the challenge, the hot, sunny weather proved to be a significant test of endurance for everyone involved. It was a battle we all had to endure and overcome, making the achievements of our players even more impressive.

A massive congratulations to all who took part! Your dedication and sportsmanship truly shone through. And now, for the moment you’ve been waiting for – a huge round of applause for our champions and runners-up:

Gross Winner: Zac Nash showcased exceptional skill to claim the top spot.
Gross Runner-Up: David Bryce delivered a stellar performance to secure second place.
Nett Winner: Romelle King played brilliantly, clinching the Nett title.
Nett Runner-Up: And demonstrating incredible consistency across the board, David Bryce once again proved his prowess by also taking the Nett Runner-Up spot.

What a weekend for David Bryce, with two runner-up finishes – truly remarkable!

Get ready, rugby fans! We’re thrilled to announce that we’ll be showing the upcoming Lions Rugby Series live in the Clubhouse on Sky TV. Don’t miss a single tackle, try, or conversion as the Lions take on their formidable opponents.

Extended Summer Hours

Great news for your summer evenings! Our longer summer opening hours are now officially in place, meaning the clubhouse will be open even later for your convenience. You can now relax and unwind with us until 8:30 PM (20:30) every day. Whether you’re finishing a late round, grabbing a bite after work, or simply enjoying the beautiful summer evenings, our doors are open longer to serve you.

Grab & Go Delights: Perfect for Any Time!

To complement our extended hours, we’ve stocked up on a fantastic selection of “Grab & Go” food items, perfect for when you need a quick and delicious bite. These are available for anyone to purchase, members and guests alike! Our offerings include freshly made toasties and ciabattas, along with a variety of popular snacks like crisps and chocolates. Ideal for a quick refuel on the course, a light dinner, or just a treat.

Refreshing Cold Drinks Available

Quench your thirst with our wide selection of cold soft drinks, also available for purchase. From refreshing juices to popular sodas, we have plenty of options to help you cool down and stay hydrated.

Community Outreach

Windmill Hill Golf Centre is an important social hub, deeply rooted in the local community’s history. We continue to host a walk in coffee morning on Monday mornings. This is available free of charge, and the group is designed so people can meet and chat about anything over a nice hot cup of tea or coffee.
