Updated 11/05/20: Anticipated reopening

Following the announcements from the National Government on Sunday 10th May, we are currently awaiting clarity on some of the latest restrictions before we make any decisions as to whether we may be able to reopen some of our golf courses.

We will be paying close attention to the Government’s detailed guidance document which is due to be published 11/05/20, as well as any further updates from Golf’s governing bodies. We will provide further updates as soon as we have more information, however our priority will always be the health, safety and welfare of our staff and customers in any decisions that we do make.

Please see notes below for our latest updates. If you have an urgent enquiry please contact us.

Updated 06/05/20

Like us, we’re sure you’ll be eagerly awaiting news of when you can return to play golf. As always your safety is our priority, so when we do reopen please expect to see some changes to our normal business.

Similar to many other leisure businesses, we’ve had to make a tough decision to furlough many of our colleagues, including greenkeepers. We have continued essential maintenance throughout the lockdown, however please make an allowance for this when we reopen, as it will take a couple of weeks to bring the courses back to their normal high standard of presentation.

While we don’t have all the answers right now, we’ve put together responses to some of the questions we’ve been frequently asked:

Please make an allowance for some changes to ensure your safety, including advance tee time bookings only and temporary closure of clubhouse toilets & changing rooms.

We have produced a comprehensive safety plan to protect our colleagues and customers when we reopen. This includes:

  • Protective barrier screens to protect our staff where appropriate.
  • Intensive ongoing sanitising programme on high contact surfaces.
  • Marked routes around the premises to encourage social distancing.

We will have to wait until the official guidance from Government has been made clear, but we are hoping that visitors will be able to play as soon as we reopen. Tee times will be made available to book/pay online as soon as we confirm a reopening date.

All customers will be required to book a tee time in advance to reduce the need for clubhouse entry and close contact with others. You will not be able to play golf without prebooking a tee time.

The easiest way to do this is by using our 24-hr online tee booking service. Alternatively, you can call us and make a booking/card payment over the phone.

Anyone can book online, including existing members. If you’ve yet to register for online bookings then please complete the form opposite and we’ll get you set up in no time.

We suspended all memberships from 23rd March and will automatically resume your membership term from the date we reopen, so you’ll be able to return and play golf without having to do anything further.

Monthly Direct Debits will be reset and if you were due to renew your membership whilst we’ve been closed, we’ll be in touch to confirm arrangements

We understand that some golfers may be in a vulnerable category, or may not be comfortable venturing out just yet, so we will be pleased to extend your membership suspension. We will be contacting all members directly when we know the exact date of reopening.

We will be pleased to register your membership prior to reopening, to help speed up the process. Once you’re a member you can book online and enjoy unlimited golf!

Click here to start the registration process. Once registered, we will contact you when we reopen to arrange payment over the phone. If you would prefer to pay monthly, you will need to complete a Direct Debit form on your first visit.

It is likely that our driving ranges will reopen at the same times as the courses. Strict distancing guidelines will be in place, for example only one person per bay and range buckets will be cleaned and sanitised after use. You will be able to pay for your range balls by card at the dispenser.

Subject to official guidance buggies will be available, but strictly for one person use. Buggies can be booked online when you reserve a tee time. Trolleys will also be available to hire on arrival. Buggies & trolleys will be carefully cleaned and sanitised after each use.

Regretfully, hire clubs will not be available when we reopen so please ensure you bring your own equipment.

Golf lessons will continue, but restricted to one person per session. Golf coaching personnel will be carrying out lessons in accordance with strict distancing guidelines, so please make an allowance for this. Group lessons will temporarily not be available.
