Tilgate Forest in the Top 100.
Golf World Top 100 for third year running
Despite a wet start to the 2024, there’s been no shortage of golfers getting back on the fairways. While this is welcome news for golf clubs, the continuing cost of living pressure means that value for money is an important factor in deciding where to play golf.
Situated in the heart of Crawley’s 2000 acre country park, Tilgate Forest’s treelined fairways have drawn comparisons to the UK’s finest woodland courses, such as Woburn and Wentworth.
However, instead of paying several hundreds for a green fee ticket, you can enjoy epic golf at Tilgate Forest and still have plenty of change for a beer & burger after your round.
Golf World has recently published its new list of Top 100 Courses best value golf courses for 2024, and we’re delighted to discover that Tilgate Forest is right up there for the third year in a row.
Michael Chapman joined the team as General Manager in 2023 and commented: “Making it into the Golf World Top 100 Courses is a brilliant achievement and testimony to the efforts put in by our greenkeeping team, led by Nathan Cooke. Tilgate Forest offers a genuinely unique golf experience and the huge improvements we’ve made to the course means it now deserves a place among the UK’s best.”
The stunning country park setting is also home to a 36-bay Toptracer® Range, featuring the latest ball-tracking tech and interactive games. High power floodlighting means you can get your golfing fix late into the evening, and everyone is welcome – especially newcomers!
