Coronavirus Update: Message from our General Manager
As London’s local golf venue, we’ve always been proud to serve our community and do our bit to help keep people healthy and happy. Spring weather and longer evenings are arriving and it pains us to stop doing what we do best.
We know that this will be a difficult time for many, especially those who are passionate about teeing it up and spending a day with friends in beautiful green spaces. We have to now do our bit to combat this global crisis, knowing that normality will return – hopefully one day soon.
Following the Government announcement on 23rd March, we will be closed until further notice. In the weeks before the lockdown, our greenkeeping team (assisted by some much-needed dry weather) had been making leaps and bounds and our courses have recovered well, after months of relentless storms and rainfall.
We will be adapting our normal maintenance programme and carrying out essential maintenance (in accordance with guidelines from the R&A, England Golf and WHO) while the courses are closed. This will protect the courses and enable us to quickly reopen when given the green light. Security and maintenance personnel will continue to be onsite.
Over the coming weeks we will keep you informed on our progress and updated with any developments.
We would like to take this opporunity to thank our brilliant team of employees and our customers for your patience and understanding. We wish you and your families all of the very best and hope that you all stay safe, fit and healthy and we look forward to welcoming you back to our fairways in the near future.
